Red, White, and Bloom — Eclectic Red, White, and Blue Wedding Ideas

As a wedding planner and event designer, it’s really important to me to have the venue complement the theme of an event and not compete. When Zhay Robles from the Wyndham International Drive and Claire Pacelli of Claire Pacelli Photography approached me to create the concept for their shoot, I had to let the venue speak to me first. The resort had been recently remodeled and had a contemporary feel and its ballroom had this amazingly bold red, blue, and gray floral carpeting. After mulling a few ideas around, “Red, White, and Bloom” was born. The bold navy and white stripes were clean and contemporary and paired gorgeously with the Hailey Paige gown provided by Calvet Couture Bridal. I handcrafted all the oversized, red flowers out of tissue paper and had them mimic a lot of the floral that was used in our decor. The rest of the vendor team was on board and embraced our fresh, contemporary twist on Americana.
Our shoot incorporated so many custom touches from our Striped and Floral stationery created by Dogwood Stationery, to the All-American Treats by Sweet Bliss Couture Candy Catering, to designer cake by Anna Cakes, and of course the over sized flowers. The rentals provided by Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals and Linens by Over the Top rental linens were the perfect combination of contemporary and classic. We loved that Brides Be Beautiful kept our gorgeous model, Melinda, looking natural, especially by not covering her tattoos. So many of her tattoos captured the rebellious American spirit and just fit!
