Referred to us by her sister-in-law who hadn’t yet hired us, Sarah and her mother Cheryl had lots of amazing ideas. And wanted to be very hands on and DIY throughout the process. It was fun helping to refer them to the best vendors to fit their style and budget. The ceremony was held in their home church, St. Mary Magdalen Church and the reception was to be held in the bride’s parents lakeside backyard. The backyard was full of gorgeous oak trees draped with moss. The bride had a very particular vision for her wedding gown, so much so that she had her gown altered, and then altered again. Her gown was very antique style vintage. And her bridesmaids wore handmade blue velvet dresses. Sarah was very creative and really wanted to put lots of special touches on her day. Every detail was very thought out. The cocktail hour was held in front of the house where guests were greeted with popcorn, nuts, vintage soda pops, beer and wine. Once guests were invited into the house, they were led through an old fashion receiving line and then out into the backyard. The backyard was a very at home feel with ribbons and chandeliers suspended from the trees. A tent was in place where guest tables were placed. Colorful floral linens covered the various tables at the event and the bride’s head table was her own dining room. The families own furniture was placed around the backyard to welcome guests to relax and enjoy the events. Comfort food was the theme of the reception food and was catered by Cuisiners and Four Rivers BBQ. And instead of having one wedding cake, there were 12 of them of all different flavors and styles. These were displayed in the dining room of the family home. The bride handpicked her band which was a fun 80’s band out of Chicago. Complete with throwback attire. The wedding party along with family and guests dance the night away, even with mist falling on the dance party.

They should be so proud of the service they provide. Sincerely appreciative!
My life as an Orlando and Central Florida wedding planner has taught me many things: I know hurricane clauses in contracts like the back of my hand. One sip can tell me if a certain wine is too bold or just right for a large guest list. And… I’ve seen how self-care is of utmost […]
