They wanted it to be romantic. A ceremony filled with love and purpose. The enchantment of an outside garden replicated inside. The grandeur of classic elegance – timeless yet unique.
What they planned with us was even more than they dreamed – it was simply magical.
“[Our wedding was] Amazing! Words literally cannot describe how incredible working with Michele was. She became a part of our family through this process and was an integral part of making our dream wedding come true.” – Liz
On a typical day in Central Florida – warm and filled with afternoon showers, a very special place in Winter Park was anything but typical.
After the cleansing rain moved through, the clouds scattered and the sun began to shine as guests made their way into the Rollins College Chapel where Peter and Liz would begin their lives as husband and wife.
Rollins College is where Liz received her college degree so it holds a special place in her heart. Her and Peter wished for a church ceremony so not only was Rollins the perfect location – but pairing it with the pastor that baptized her as a child, married her sister and brother-in-law, and performed her parents vow renewal ceremony was simply the most meaningful ceremony they could have planned.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the beautiful and quaint, Alfond Inn. Even though Liz had always envisioned an outdoor reception in a lush garden, this location provided the perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy the beauty of Florida and her dreams of a garden-like reception came true when the ballroom was transformed into a warm and romantic soiree.
Following are memorable aspects of Liz and Peter’s wedding!
Color Choice: mixed metallics paired with navy blue
Something Old & Borrowed: Liz’s grandmother’s garter (worn by both Liz’s mother and sister for their weddings)
Something New: Liz’s gorgeous wedding dress!
Something Blue: the bridesmaid dresses!
Honeymoon Location: Maui
Memorable Surprise: Painter, Talia, from Canvas and Confetti who painted the scene of their wedding day
When asked if Liz or Peter would change anything about their wedding, it is an absolute, no!
“The day went so perfectly, it didn’t even seem real.” Liz says.

Her advice for current brides(which we find spot on!!!):
Don’t stress the small stuff and try to get everything planned a few weeks before the wedding so that you aren’t having to make major decisions the last 2 weeks. You want to take that time to actually enjoy the process, spending time with family in town and soaking in all of the memories without having to worry about getting things done.

My life as an Orlando and Central Florida wedding planner has taught me many things: I know hurricane clauses in contracts like the back of my hand. One sip can tell me if a certain wine is too bold or just right for a large guest list. And… I’ve seen how self-care is of utmost […]

Planning a wedding or event is exciting – there’s picking out flowers, tasting cakes, trying on dresses and tuxes, selecting rings, planning a honeymoon… but when it comes to the nitty gritty of contracts with venues and vendors, all of that fun can come to a screeching halt – especially when there is a large […]
