After planning weddings in Central Florida for most of my career, I have become acutely acquainted with the best of the best Orlando wedding venues (in all styles and price ranges). I have found each has its own character, its own personality, its own uniqueness. I also see how the amount of variety can be exciting, yet mind-blowing to brides and grooms trying to find just the right place to say, “I do.”
That’s why I am starting a new feature on my blog that spotlights Orlando’s best wedding venues. I’ll share a few wedding highlights of the property, some pictures, and my personal experiences on character of the venue.

Today, I’m excited to feature: Loews Portofino Bay Hotel.
Before I do, let me share a little perspective…
This past year I took a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy. While there, I took in the sights, the sounds, the TASTES!, and the culture. The setting was deeply romantic, the food and wine were keenly sensuous, and the culture was warm and inviting. It was the quintessential trip filled with beauty, excitement, and most importantly…love. Oh, how I long to go back!
It’s this authentic Italian experience and my fond memories that envelop me every time I step inside Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. I may be in Orlando, but the feelings of romanticism paired with serenity spark reflections of one of the most magnificent places in the world.

Through my personal travel experience to Italy, I can so easily and sincerely describe my feelings of Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. Such as:
Wedding Ceremonies: Lush foliage and majestic gazebos offer romantic and dreamy settings reminiscent of Italian gardens I enjoyed on my trip. Paired with opulent music for your walk down the aisle, it’s sure to give everyone goosebumps.
Wedding Receptions: Timeless and grandiose, the hotel boasts ballrooms that are adorned with crystal chandeliers that encourage your reception to shine. Enjoyed with exquisite dinner options (some with authentic Italian flare), your guests won’t want to leave.

Photography: Romantic strolls along the waterway, dramatic shots on the spiral staircase, or even whimsical play with fashionable rides, this venue has endless photography options depending on your preferred style. Definitely tour the hotel with your selected photographer prior to pick out your most coveted photo opportunities.

Admittedly, Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel holds a special place in my heart. I have planned weddings at this hotel for many years so the surroundings feel like home and the talented people that work there, family.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel truly is reminiscent of my trip to Italy…beautiful, inspirational, timeless, and filled with love and romance.
