Tina and Ben are a hard working couple with little to no time to plan a wedding. They sought us out to save time and money. We delivered on both aspects. Tina had very specific ideas of what she wanted. She just needed help pulling it all together. Their ceremony was held in the newly redesigned St. James Catholic Church. And the reception at the elegant and historic themed Ballroom at Church Street. Tina and Ben love their friends and wanted to include them in their special day. One of their friends composed and performed a song just for them. Another friend created their one of a kind wedding cake and groom’s cake creations. The groom’s cake being themed around the firm he works for, Morgan & Morgan. Their wedding was simple elegance with lovely green and red color schemes. The bride didn’t want to forget her cultural roots and incorporated some of her Indian traditions into the ceremony. A final cheers at the reception was the themed favorite drinks, Sweet Tea Brady for the groom and Kerala Cooler for the bride.

Ben and I had such a blast at our wedding that it’s hard not to gush about it.

From the bride:

Ben and I were talking about our wedding all of last night and this morning.  It was so fun to recap all of the details!  My favorite detail of the ceremony was being able to incorporate a couple Indian traditions that were used in my parents’ wedding ceremony (and wedding ceremonies in generations before them).  Traditionally, in addition to the ring, the groom presents the bride with a sari and a necklace.  The sari represents the groom’s promise to always provide for his wife.  The groom’s tying of the necklace on the bride represents the uniting of couple in marriage (similar to the expression “tying the knot”)

It’s hard to pick a favorite detail of the reception.  The way the floral, linens and lighting came together was exactly what we were going for — classic, elegant and romantic.  If I had to pick my favorite details of the reception, it would have to be the groom’s cake and the song performed by one of our groomsmen.  The cakes were done by a childhood friend of mine, Monica Velo.  She knocked it out of the park for the grooms cake.  Ben is a work-aholic and we thought it would be funny to do a replica of his desk.  She incorporated so many cute details, from the FSU mug that is always on his desk to a post-it note with “Lunch with Tina” written on it.  I absolutely loved it.  The song performed by one of Ben’s best friends, Eric, was one of the most memorable details of the night.  In law school, Eric used to write and perform funny songs as a hobby.  I couldn’t resist asking him to write one for our wedding.  He opening the song with, “About 7 months ago, the bride commissioned me to write a song for the wedding, so last week I did.”  The song had everyone in laughter and retold so many funny stories of our relationship, friends and family.  Ben and I will cherish it forever.
