The best way we can sum up this wedding was that Andrea and Pedro brought the Latin Flavor! They brought elements from Pedro’s Venezuelan and Andrea’s Mexican-American backgrounds to their ceremony by incorporating the arras and lasso, menu included items such as empanadas and late night bites of arepas with Venezuelan chicken salad, music included live drummer to accompany Rhythm of the Night Entertainment, and “Hora Loca”. “Hora Loca” is a newer wedding trend sweeping Latin America, and Andrea and Pedro had to be one of the firsts to bring it to Orlando. “Crazy Hour” is meant to be spontaneous and exciting. The DJ will crank straight party music for an hour and fun props, masks, beads, whistles, and other novelties are thrown out into the crowd. Much like Carnival or Mardi Gras.

They picked the perfect venue for their elegant and sexy soiree, the Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando. Lee James Floral design played up the purples and red of the eclectic hotel and enhanced it with pops of fuchsia and mixed silver, gold, and mercury glass. The designs were opulent without overshadowing the space. One of our favorite features was the glass altar that held gorgeous arrangements of varying sizes.

We loved making this couple’s dreams come true. The look on their faces when they first saw the reception space was all worth it for any planner, but seeing the way they love each other and how tender Pedro was with Andrea reminded us why we love what we do so much.

Their wedding was also featured in Orange Appeal in their July/August issue.
